Temple - Nanning, China

In the Qingxiu mountain complex we also visited a Buddhist temple. I loved the temples we saw in China because there was so much to look at. Statue after statue, some gold, some stone.

I adore this statue - legend has it that it's good luck to rub the Buddha's belly, and this Buddha has evidently been rubbed plenty.

In the background of this photo you can see a sort of large tray filled with sand and a roof overhead where the devout prayed and set sticks of incense to burn.
