Airline Tickets

This summer I took a Mediterranean cruise with my sister to Italy, Croatia, Turkey and Greece. No kids. I was gone for 10 days, the longest I've ever been away from them. My kids had a fun time at "Grandma Camp" and saw their daddy, who doesn't have the travel bug the way I do and opted to stay behind. Sure, I felt a little guilty and I missed my kiddos so much but ... it was fun.

Now when making arrangements and looking around for travel info, we spent some time looking for cheap airplane tickets for my sister. I used frequent flier miles so I only had to purchase the cruise ticket, but my sister needed to buy her air tickets as well, so it was important that we find cheap flights. Luckily, she was able to find a decent deal for a flight to Venice.

We sailed with Royal Caribbean and had a fantastic time. Normally the time getting from place to place is spent sitting bored in a car or train, but on the cruise we swam, dined, danced, watched shows and more, and when we woke up in the morning we had arrived at our destination. On the other hand, since we spent only one day in each port, I was left craving more. I wanted to REALLY explore these places! But another day, another trip.
