Toddler Fun in New York City - Central Park Zoo

Head to 64th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan to visit the snow leopards, polar bears and other animals housed at the Central Park Zoo. Kids might recognize the zoo from the popular family movie “Madagascar.” Be sure to visit the Tisch Children’s Zoo, which is located just outside the main zoo and is included in the admission price to the Central Park Zoo. The Tisch Children’s Zoo is particularly appropriate for toddlers, with animals they can pet and play structures to climb on.

Shrek Rides the Waves

It looks like Royal Caribbean is going after a slice of the plump Disney family cruise pie. The cruise line announced this morning that it has struck a deal with Dreamworks and beginning this summer will feature the slovenly but lovable ogre Shrek along with wife Fiona and other friends on 4 cruise ships. The cruises will also feature characters from other popular Dreamworks family films, like Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda. Cruise events will include parades, character breakfasts, shows and more.
